Quaint place off around the corner from Gatlinburg's main drag. Very good food. We started with the trout fritters which were different than anything I have had. Very soft centers with maybe some potato? Served with a dill sauce that was very good. Definitely recommend that as a start. I had the fried trout (actually the Eisenhower named for the side of mushroom and onions) and really loved it. The coating was crunchy but not too thick. It stayed crunchy every bite. Great flavor. M had the blackened trout and enjoyed very much. We ended with a slice of key lime pie that was not at all disappointing. Overall very good.

Nice restaurant in Gatlingburg. They have a small parking lot across the street from them. I ordered the dill trout which was okay and felt needed some more flavor. It also comes with two sides which I got the baked potato and cole slaw. They do provide complimentary hush puppies and potato chips. There was no wait for the weeknight I was there.

Stopped here today after a 6 mile hike up the mountain. First impression was that the interior was severely dated. Once you get past that, you should be ok. The server was nice and attentive and the food was pretty good. First time having trout, the wife and I. Other than the parking (across the very busy street) and the bathroom being 47 steps upstairs, I would recommend this place. It's not going to blow you away, but it's a good meal.

The Trout House just at the edge of the city limit. Parking always the luxury in Gatlinburg and fortunately they have a parking lot across the street. This make a lot of convenient to customers that are visiting. When come to this area, trout always good choice. I got the grilled trout with mushrooms and fried okra. The mushrooms are caramel with onion. It is delicious. The trout is butterfly and grilled. Very fresh. You can see the tail. Overall our experience is good. The pre meal has hush puppies and fried potato chip. Food comes out quick because we were the third customer there.

We were looking for a seafood restaurant. All the years I've been to Gatlinburg, I've been wanting to try this place so many times but never did. My Mr and I made the effort to come here. Glad we did. They specialize in trout and prepare it either grilled, broiled or fried. Their menu is simple but all looked delish. They also have appetizers, and salads. Their drink menu is standard beer and selective wine (Pinot Noir, Merlot and white dry wine). We ordered: -Merlot (2 glasses) -Eisenhower trout w/ baked potato and Cole slaw -Trout almondind broiled w/ side salad and loaded baked potato Loved that they serve complimentary hush puppies and chips with a side of Frank's sauce (a bit on the sweet side) I was so excited to get my meal. It was everything I expected to be. Delish! The fish was prepared the way I liked and loved the almonds on the top. The baked potato was huge! Definitely needed a to go box for it. My Mr cleaned his plate! One of the best trouts we've ever had. Their pricing is definitely reasonable and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I can see us coming back here again. I enjoyed every bit of it.

My lady had seen this place quite a few times while here before, and thought it looked interesting too, so we decided to check it out. There are lots of upscale places around Gatlinburg, but this feels like a true down home southern dinner, much more laid back and honest. Not to mention really good and brimming with southern hospitality. We stopped by on a Monday evening and they were pretty busy. The place itself isn't huge but does have ample seating. The staff are all super friendly and attentive. The menu is loaded with trout dishes, but also has other seafood offerings like catfish and shrimp. Not feeling seafood? They have you covered there with chicken, burgers, and steak. Their drink menu isn't big, but does include your usual beverages as well as some beer and wine. I decided not to drink (shocker?) but my lady had a glass of merlot. They start you out with a basket of hush puppies and homemade chips along with some Frank's Red Hot sweet chili sauce. Definitely a good way to start. My lady opted for the trout almondine with a loaded potato and a side salad. I had the trout Eisenhower with a baked potato and cole slaw. We didn't wait that long before it was all ready. My lady couldn't stop raving about her trout and I really enjoyed mine. Caution, expect a few bones in the fish, because we got a few but not too many. Still, we both really like the whole experience, and would absolutely come back next time we're in the area. This is a true southern-style place right down to the decor. Go get your trout on!
